3:56..... ive become nocturnal. i havent gone to bed before 7 oclock in the morning in a week.
my first exam was yesterday, or i guess.... 2 days ago now. went ok. 3 more to go.
studying for arch and polisci are frustrating since its hard to know the specifics on what youre supposed to know..
ive been watching too much 'house'. im addicted. what can i say.

mum and dad and lindsay come in the next few weeks. that im excited for, i have to say.
im just so tired all the time.

its like my body won't let me go to sleep until the sun's up. i've been trying, but it's so out of whack.

so i was studying till almost 4 tonight. and i started at 6. go me. wait, i took 1 hour off to watch top model.

i feel so fucked up.

last assignment of the year completed this very moment! im going to turn it in to my professor across the street, and then im done!
classes are officially done today, its the last day of my unicef stuff with the kids at lord lansdowne... my first exam is in 13 days....and im going home in almost exactly a month....
the weather is gorgeous

another day another dollar....spent?
got some essentials at winners. wooo. they gave me the plastic winners bag instead of the sleek black 'winners on bloor bag'.... kind of a disappointment. but this time i didnt leave my credit card there! and i checked 3 times.
so my printers out of ink. i go to grand and toy to get a new one- they want 75 bucks. so i come home, go on to the hp website, find it for 35, but they dont ship to canada. hpshopping.ca doesnt even SELL ink cartridges....so i got it sent home, and then someone at home will have to send it to me? how messed up.
buuuuut
hp right now is oh so wonderful and is doing free shipping on everything no matter how fast u want it delivered...so i checked on the order this morning, and its already in portland...and i ordered last night at around 1030.... how beautiful is that.
so hopefully, when canada post gets ahold of it ill have it within 2 weeks or so haha.
ok....time to get ready to go to class.

oh yeah, i changed my major.
im specializing in east asian studies.
fuck...i guess that means i really do have to study chinese?
our new t.a is on speed. she's all talking away in chinese and im like 'huh?' and then tommy somehow answers her in chinese and shes like 'ah very good tommy' and renee and i are just sitting there 'ummm'... but today! she asked me a question, and i was just like 'ta da le dianhua' and she was like 'ah meige, hen hao' and i was like 'yeah, damn straight.'
that was the highlight of my day.

hey, thanks lindsay for reminding me...i guess it has been a while, hasnt it?
well, being back at school isnt as amazing as i thought it would be. id rather be back in costa rica, but hey...what can you do?
annie yasmin and ana are all up to going in may which is making me pretty excited.
ive decided to defer from taking the hong kong trip until next summer. i wanna know more chinese before i go, and then i can go and spend more time there after the trip, too. i dunno, i think its also that i wanna take some classes at psu this summer and i dont want to be away for most of the summer.
the work is still really coming in, and i had a test last wednesday and a paper due tomorrow...but such is life and whatever, you just get through it.
its really nice to be around my friends again though, i missed them while i was gone.
brett and i are going to see the body worlds thing at the osc this friday...and lets all hope that i dont pass out...im actually super excited...
yoga started yesterday, and dancing on thursday....pilates and more dance start next week. im trying to keep busy, its stops me from eating so much junk food.

damn, the break went so fast... and now that im back, its only been a week and it feels like a month.

fireball's in 3 weeks though, so the girls and dylan are all going shopping this weekend to buy mostly shoes and jewelery...!! and reading week's in just over a months...we're thinking montreal?
i gotta go get my id back from the phoenix...stupid bouncers recognized my fake....rahhh
oh well.
damn, i have a paper to write. and i have to learn all that chinese that im getting stuck on. fuck

well its been a few days.
a really packed few days and i guess i had to make some hard decisions and such in that time. im being dragged down with work, and well, i guess thats just my priority right now.
terry comes tomorrow, which im excited about.
its funny to hear everyone talking about going home for thanksgiving, cuz thanksgiving here was 6 weeks ago, and so everyones already all into the holidays here and everything.
so thursday my friends and are i are all having thanksgiving dinner. and guess whos doing the cooking?! yours truly. i ordered a 15 lb turkey, baby. yeah.
its gonna be great.
i need a break from the insanity of school anyways.

i handed in my polisci paper on monday, which felt good. i read through the chinese chapter last night that we're working on and i actually understand it!!! that never happens, haha. i guess we'll see whether i actually do when i go to class in half an hour.

byron and i sat on the couch last night talking about our futures. we flipped through old course catalogues, talking about what we want to do. university's going to go by so fast, i know it....i wonder how i can make it slow down a bit....

i come home for break in less than 3 weeks! december 10th! if any of you are home then give me a call. i leave for costa rica on the 14th and i dont get back till the 28th.... but make sure you're all at my house for new years! its gonna be amazing.

so today is thanksgiving shopping with annie! ahh its gonna be a party. god im so excited for good food......

i woke up this morning to a phone call from my parents. 'we hear that the high today there is 0! so we had to call and see how you were doing'.
i walked down to young and dundas with annie, and its snowing pretty hard, and its wonderful.
im coping with the cold so much better than i thought id be. with only a tank top and a long sleeve shirt, a turtle neck sweater and a cord jacket on i was very toasty and warm. gloves and a scarf too, mind you....

so now im at the apartment looking out over the rooftops and seeing everything covered in happy whiteness.....ahh.
im thinking that this elation over snow wont last for long but for now i can say that its so nice to be somewhere where its winter and it actually feels like winter....
i love it here.
